How to create an Ethereum wallet and purchase CCC tokens

To participate in the GSCP ICO, you need an Ethereum wallet to store your CCC tokens. Below, we have created a simple tutorial that shows you how to create such a wallet, create your account with us, and purchase CCC tokens through our sales portal.

If you have any question along the way, you can also get support 24/7 in our Telegram group

Step 1: Create a wallet address

For you to receive your CCC tokens, you will need an Ethereum wallet that supports the so-called ERC20 tokens, which are independent tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. If you do not have a wallet already, you need to create one.

There are numerous options for wallets, some easier to use than others. We recommend that if you are new to this area, that you do a bit of research yourself and most importantly follow the instructions and guides of your wallet of choice. Remember that your CCC tokens are valuable and should be treated with great care.

We have put together a couple of suggested software wallets here. Depending on your preferences, you might also want to consider a hardware wallet. Please note that the suggestions given here are only meant as suggestions and Blockshipping does not have any influence nor control over these solutions and hence cannot guarantee their functionality and security.

A fairly simple way of getting an ERC20 compatible wallet is to install a wallet app on your smartphone. We have tried Enjin Wallet and Eidoo – both well-reviewed, widely used and available for Android and iOS.

To get started – simply download the app and follow the onscreen instructions for setting up. Please remember to write down and store the “12 secret words” presented as that is your only means of restoring your wallet.

Once you have gone through the setup, you can find your new wallet address by selecting ETH and then press “Receive funds” in Enjin or if you use Eidoo, press “your assets” and then the QR code logo in the top right corner. In both cases, this will show your personal wallet (ETH) address. The format of the wallet address is a long series of numbers and letters like:

0x9F232e51E8666FA15409080a91715413d07Add50

It is VERY IMPORTANT to copy/paste this address correctly and double check it as mistyping a single digit or letter in the worst case can send your tokens somewhere else! Blockshipping will have no options of recovering CCC tokens sent to the wrong address. It is your responsibility to submit the correct address.

In Enjin wallet, you can copy your wallet address by pressing the “copy address” button while Eidoo has a “share” button above the address. You can then paste the wallet address into an email or other messaging platform and send it to yourself if you are going through the initial setup on a computer rather than on your mobile device.

Another popular albeit more complicated wallet option is MyEtherWallet (MEW). There is also a thorough and well-written step-by-step guide to install MyEtherWallet.

To see your CCC tokens in the wallets, in most wallets, you have to register CCC as a custom token manually. This is done the following way:

  1. Click add custom token
  2. Insert “0x9e3359f862b6c7f5c660cfd6d1aa6909b1d9504d” (without the citation signs) as Token Contract Address
  3. Insert “CCC” as the token symbol
  4. Insert “18” as the decimal number
  5. Click add
Please note that exchanges like Coinbase, Kraken and others are not hosting ERC20 compatible wallets and hence cannot be used to store CCC tokens.

When you have completed your wallet installation and have your wallet address ready, please continue to register an account on the Blockshipping sales portal

Step 2: Register an account

Equipped with an Ethereum ERC20-compatible wallet, you are now ready to register an account on the GSCP ICO website. This is done by following these simple steps:

  1. Go to the login page.
  2. Click on ‘Register as a new user’ (if you are already a user, please log in with your details)
  3. Fill out the basic personal details and paste your ether address into the ‘ether address’ field

  6. Once your e-mail is verified, you can proceed to ID verification.

Step 3: Complete KYC procedure

Before reaching the GSCP ICO main dashboard, you will need to complete a simple online identity verification procedure known as a KYC (Know Your Customer). The procedure allows us to manage risks by collecting and verifying basic information of the customer (for further information, please refer to our KYC guidelines).

In the identity verification window, you will be asked to upload a government-issued photo ID and a “selfie” photo to accommodate KYC requirements. This is done by:

  • uploading a high-resolution picture of your government-issued photo ID in the ‘Government ID’ box.
  • uploading a high-resolution “selfie” photo in the ‘Selfie photo’ box.

Once the images are uploaded successfully, continue by clicking on ‘Finish’. This brings you to the GSCP ICO main dashboard. In the ‘Profile and KYC’ section, you can edit your personal details and check your current KYC status.
